Welcome to the Electronic Anti-Social Book Club!

We’ll be reading a lot of fun books and sharing our thoughts electronically–sometimes text, perhaps one day voice or video. We’re anti-social, so perhaps for the time being we’ll stick to text. Also, text counts as reading.

Every month we’ll read and discuss. With that in mind, I doubt any books that are super long (sorry, Tolstoy/Dostoyevsky) or overly (read: unnecessarily) complicated (Thomas Pynchon, I’m looking at you) will be likely candidates for discussion. I’m not saying don’t read them–far from it. Read them and tell us all about them. I just think a month isn’t enough time to get through a walnut-cracker of a book. However, I expect fun, clever and insightful discussions. If you are a reader, you’ve already met my first criterion (being literate) and if you’re reading this, you’ve met the second (being interested.)

Our first discussion was awesome–I can’t wait to see what you  have to say at our next meeting!
